Data Sources
Transparency matters. Here’s where Intrinsic Investor gets its data and how to interpret it.
Market prices & fundamentals
We use Yahoo Finance data (via `yahoo-finance2`) for quotes and fundamental fields.
Macroeconomic data
We use FRED for macro series (when configured). If missing, the app may fall back to safe defaults or mock data.
Caching & freshness
We cache responses to stay within free-tier limits and rate limits. For real-time status see /api/ai/freshness.
Limitations
- Quotes may be delayed; fundamentals can lag filings.
- International tickers sometimes have missing fields.
- Valuation outputs are estimates sensitive to assumptions.
