Why do some stocks show a valuation range instead of one fair value?
When the valuation methods disagree too much, publishing a single number would be false precision — the site shows the honest range instead.
Different valuation methods answer different questions, and sometimes they disagree sharply — a business in transition, unusual accounting, or economics that one method captures and another misses.
When the disagreement is too wide, or the apparent discount exceeds the publishable sanity band (roughly ±80%), Intrinsic Investor withholds the single-number verdict and shows the range instead. A "fair value" of one precise dollar figure built on methods spanning 2x from each other is not information — it is theater.
The same coherence rule runs everywhere: the homepage, stock pages, screener and emails all use the same guard, so a stock never shows a confident verdict on one surface and "no estimate" on another.
